Having trouble finding the specs I need here and I can't imagine one of you hasn't dealt with this..
I want to buy one of the canopies that includes double doors in the back tailgate area. I cannot tell if the dimensions of a ranger/one that fits a ranger would also fit a taco?? Anyone?? Here's the one I'm looking at.
It's an hour away and dude seems unable to give me tailgate dimensions otherwise I wouldn't bug yah.

It’s very close. The ranger bed is a hair shorter, and has a little bit of a trapezoidal shape, but a regular cap fits okay, a piece of aluminum angle across the front of the bed will seal the gap.

Can’t really comment on the tailgate.

this was the best reference I found on dimensions

    https://raybuck.com/pickup-truck-bed-size-dimensions/

    this is a ranger cap:

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
There has to be a Ranger some place close that you could ask the owner to let you measure .

Did the width of the beds changeover the years ? What year is the cap off of?

If I see one I will get some dimensions.

I got burnt to often from internet measurements when 1" could be a major difference.

    Good Luck!

FYI. You dont have to do this mod. The cap will still fit. I didnt like the size of the gap between the cap and the cab. Good luck with your purchase.
