Random Interior accent colors??

First off I don't own a 3rd Gen yet, second I love the interior and exterior looks of the truck, and I love how it drives. I have test drove a few and my buddy at work has one that he's let me drive a few times.. my only gripe is, what in the world is going on with the most random accent colors of the interior of some of these tacomas I'm seeing online??? You got a silver tacoma with a fucking ugly beige color on the interior or even a blue tacoma with a blood red accent interior.. WTF??? I don't get it. End of rant

 

Buy the limited and get a nice fake leather trim.

 

I test drove a white one with the inferno dash trim... was not a fan.

 

Love the interior colors in my new Tacoma. The black and red looks good with the red exterior. I didn't care for the "Cement Gray" interior on some other models.

 

I'll swap my cement gray with someone's red interior panels any day.

 

The interior depends on the trim level. The SR5 you can get the door panels colored as shown in the pic by darksky. If you go with the TRD model, you can get gray or the black/orange which will have the dash bezel also orange. Limited gets ¨leather¨. So you have to decide which interior layout you are happier with. I myself prefer the TRD. Black truck with black/orange int., or Inferno with black/orange. That is the only ones I would get the black interior on, all others would be gray. I am not a fan of the layout of the SR5 interior, but that´s just me.

 

This actually looks good because the two colors go well together, black and red, also the fact the the exterior is a red truck, thus everything matches, my problem is the trucks with exterior colors and then the interior looks like hammered ass.

My Off Road is all black and gunmetal

 

My concern with the red panels is that they might be pink In a few years. I went with the gray though I do like the red stitching on the seats.

"to each his own"...shop around, or order want you want. Try the "build a truck" feature on the Toyota website and see what all colors you can mix n match. kind of fun. I wanted black seats but had to deal with the orange dash bezel trim...so I traded the bezel with a guy on TW in the swap thread. Now I have gray to match the rest of the trim.

You sound like you have much experience with bootyholes. I will forever dislike "caramel" now.

 

Do they make the door panels in BBP?

 

not sure, but you can go the Toyota website and "build a truck" and experiment with all the color options.

 

I had no idea they were doing this with interiors. I've got a TRD Pro on order and while I was at the dealer I sat in one '16 Taco. It must have been an off-road or something cuz everything was black inside.

 

I heard on the TRD PRO it will come with faux Carbon Fiber panels

 

It doesn't appear to be an option
