Looking to see what everyone is using,
I searched the site and got a lot of old posts, not sure if there is any new options out there.

I’m looking at supporting a iPad mini, and really didn’t want to drill into the dash.
Since it’s in such good shape.

I had the hondo mount on my 3rd gen, I liked it a lot.

    thanks
    Ken

This is what I use for either my iPhone or inReach. I don’t know how much more an iPad mini weighs but it may work here as well. I chose this spot because I didn’t want to drill into the dash either and I don’t have a driver’s side grab handle to use.

    Dankthetank,
I like that, did not really see that spot.
    Might go that route.

I'm using a couple RAM mounts for my stuff. Details mostly in these posts:

Adding a Ram Mount to the #%@#$@! A-pillar.
Where are you? Adding APRS to the Ham Radio Comms
Mod Wars - USB charger blocking Ham Radio Communication (photo at the end of the post)

Essentially, for the A-pillar mount, it was:
And for the center-dash mount, I used:

With all that, I ended up with this as my cockpit...

If you’re still looking for better options, I’m making a Ram mount clip that goes in where the airbag indicator would be. Of course this doesn’t work for all models but for any that just have the cover clipped in that spot. It just snaps right in. If you want one, I can make one for you. Shoot me a text at 563-203-0952. Also I designed this myself so I can make other versions of it if you want.

Yes, I’m still making them. I’ve been charging $8 a piece for them- free shipping. I can print in most any of the standard colors.

20241006_224157.jpg 20241006_224311.jpg The panavice mount is kinda shakey, and it's pretty low. I'm using it for my switch panel.
