I have the Gator ETX soft trifold tonneau cover on my 2021 short bed. During heavy rainstorms I’ve noticed that water pools on the cover on the section closest to the cab. Here’s some pics. I’ve had more water on there in the past.

Does anyone with this cover or with another trifold cover get this same issue? Or is this just a common thing?

I thought I may have tightened the forward bedrail clamps down too much which caused the crossbar to flatten and create a dip/sag, but even after loosening the forward clamps, the rain still pools there.

It's common, all soft tops will do it. Something about mass on a membrane and gravity or whatever

Thank you, this is my first truck and I wasn’t sure if it’s common. I didn’t notice the rain pooling when the cover was new so wasn’t sure.
