What are y’all thoughts? Rain guards on or off?

I put them on today and have mixed feelings bout them. I somewhat like it, but also think it looks a bit off. What do y’all think?

I actually want to put them on my truck,i think you just need to get used to them. Once it starts raining you might change your mind

They are awesome when it’s hot out - you can vent the cab without exposing window openings. And when it’s raining they help defog the interior.

-just be careful when turning, they do create a wider column blind spot.

I previously had the standard in-channel AVS, now I have the low-profile AVS.

I like the looks of the low-profile better, but the standard ones were less much obstructive to the view out the windows.

In general, they're great. Very functional and can add style.

Not for me. To each their own.. I don't like the look and the perceived benefit doesn't outweigh my personal opinion of how they look.

We have the smoked AVS in-channels. It can rain here... a lot. Almost a must-have. Also per @OnHartung'sRoad, they're great for cracking the window open enough to get some circulation when it's hot. I think they look good to boot. ;)

I have the same ones as yours. I really like the functionality they offer in keeping the cab cooler. I bet they even give higher gas mileage like white paint does. -And paint color choice does affect gas mileage, it’s due to how much more people run their AC’s with darker colored vehicles.

A must have for any smokers or vapers. Can crack the window and not get wet. It's quieter with the window cracked. On my access cab they add some character to the upper cab and help trim it out.
I use low profile everything. Bug deflector, rain guards and tonneau cover. Regular size does stick out kinda far.
If you think it creates a bad blind spot well, the dealer never gave you a Prius as a loaner, huh? lol

I really like them and have had them on all my recent cars/trucks. AVS on the old s10 and focus, Tacoma has Weathertech. IMO the Weathertech's are better quality.

They're great. Minor hit on looks, but function wins out here.

I had the smoked ones and really like them. I took them off because for me they seem to increase the blind spot created by the pillar. I almost hit a pedestrian because I didn't see them in this blind spot area. The guards themselves function/fit great. I think they look good on your truck. I had AVS.

I don’t think they affect the look of the truck much good or bad but for me the functionality is invaluable.

Love mine. Smart move staying away from those glue on the paint, type ones. Most of those you see are broken, cracked or missing 1 or 2 of them.

So nice leaving the windows cracked a bit for fresh air, especially in the rain...

Doubt that. A/C does a better job.

Try it, it works. Especially when you park the truck with wet seats from your wet clothes, AC doesn’t work when the engine is turned off.

Got them for function, not looks. Love them for lowering window a little for air circulation especially when raining.

I bought mine with the same brand installed. I love them being basically flush with the lines of the truck, but I do wish they were transparent. I may change them out eventually, but for now they're great.
