I've seen countless examples of fork mount bike racks for Tacomas, but when it comes to front wheel holders, I haven't found anything. As the owner of a regular cab, putting my bike wheels in the cab isn't an option (and I wouldn't want them in there even if it was since I have all the room in the bed of the truck!).

After hours of scouring the Interwebs, I found what is the perfect solution for me as shown below. The wheel mounts are there when I want them and fold down when I want them out of the way. Best of all, they bolted easily to the bed rail. My primary bikes are road or CX bikes that have quick release front hubs... obviously this solution doesn't work if your bike have thru-axle hubs. Also, security wasn't my priority with the setup.

I believe these are Thule 545-2 racks. I got them used and there are no labels on them, so I'm not sure. I did notice there is a similar model that has the holes in the "base" in the wrong direction (for roof racks), so beware of that if you buy a used set online.

I got the racks used with no packaging, so I'm not sure what model they are. I *think* they are model Thule 545-2.
