I have a 2014 TRD OR Taco Spruce mica
Yesterday morning I went out to my truck to go to work and found a brick on my hood. I have raccoon's in my chimney. They have been going in and out through the top of my chimney and some bricks came loose and fell down on to my truck. It put a big dent in the front center of my hood and busted up my hood protector as well. 2 dents total and some bad scratches. I think I'll need a new hood and protector.

I am filing an insurance claim, which sucks as I up'ed the deductible a few months ago to save money. (didn't work out that way)

Does anyone know how to push out the raccoon's without trapping them or killing them? I live in a city and cannot discharge any firearm. And NO I cannot start a fire! It's nonfunctional. I hope there aren't any babies yet. I am going to put all the bricks back up as soon as the weather gets better.

    On going
Put a flair in a metal bucket the sulfer from the burning flair will make them flee then place some type of cap or screen over the top

I know, I have pets and am a little worried letting them out at night. They can kill a cat or small dog. Luckily I have a pretty tough dog. I read if it's a momma with babies I can get male raccoon pee. I can also try red fox urine. I'm even leaning towards trapping them and relocating them up one of the canyons.

I'm pretty mad about all this. This is an option, just the last one...

Amazing that's all the damage a falling brick did...

I feel like dropping a nickel on my hood would cave the thing in

    Kill the SOBs.

Or, trap and relocate them...until then park elsewhere.

Yea, I know. It was actually 2 bricks too. I think the hood protector took a lot of the impact.

exterminator? a dish of ammonia on top of my trash has always worked I don't know how it will work in your situation. A have a heart trap will probably work best but you may want to call your local animal officer first who knows what extra services your city has.

Just don't be like my neighbor and leave kitchen sponges soaked in bacon fat out for them.

Animal control wont help around here. I just got up on my roof and looked down there. I didnt see any raccoon's but there are nooks they can hide. I put some clumps of cat pee from my litter box down there. (gross I know) The ammonia smell should push them out. If not I'll try something stronger. I may buy red fox urine from our local IFA.

I had a couple hanging out around my chicken coop this winter. They ended up catching a case of high-velocity lead poisoning and I haven't had any other show up since then.

If I did't live in a city they'd be dead already. Good job taking them out!

Animal control won't help in this situation ....

There's (4) small animal trapping companies in your area . They will come to your place a set up a couple bait traps . Once the raccoons are caught these companies will relocate them in the wilderness areas outside of Salt Lake city

It's 400-700$ to have them trapped. I cant afford to do that right now. I am borrowing a live trap from a friend. I'll take it to the canyon and let it go. I may have to do it twice.
