R150 transmission questions

    I read on the internet that you can take a R150 transmission from the 3.0L and change the bell housing to the 3.4L and itll work. Im trying to see if thats true.

    Not exactly, it's a little more involved. The input shafts are different lengths, and the tail housings are completely different so your t-case (if you are 4x4) won't bolt up.

    I seen the transfer case difference. I read something about an adapter to make the transfer case work. But I'm not quite sure about the input shaft.

    The only adapter I know that could work would be the new eco-crawler doubler from NWF, but that's a much more expensive route than just finding the correct R150F. Do a search, there are many threads explaining the differences between the two transmissions.
