I love my QS. Wife wasn't a fan when we purchased the vehicle but it grew on her. I get mixed reactions from friends, family, co-workers on the color, but I think it gives the truck a no-nonsense-badass look.

I get lots of positive feedback on my quicksand Taco, by far the best color ever, and it's been around for decades!!

Not a QS owner myself, but since last year when I initially seen the color on the TRD Pro's I remember thinking DAMN, thats badass! My wife is also a huge fan of the color. I am also very partial to the color white just because my last like 5 cars were white, but I really like the color. On a side note, I can see how some people may not like it. The color seems to be geared towards a specific crowd IMO.

IMG_2592.jpg Love the color and get compliments all the time. I specifically didn't get the pro because I liked the quicksand so much better than any other color. That being said, I only like it with black fender flares and black wheels. This color was made to be on a trd pro. I did the next best thing and am slowly making mine into a pro with the manual transmission of course. IMG_2547.jpg

I don't love it, I don't hate it. Just like the Inferno color, I like it, but not enough to buy it. I fear that like others have suggested, it's a trendy color that may not age well.

However, I also got the most neutral/non-comittal color of them all (MGM and love it). Get what you like and everyone else be damned. Unless your wife hates it, then get something she agrees with, or you'll never hear the end of it. ;^)

I agree that the color is a love it or hate it color but most love it. I had a guy that waited for me and wife to finish our food at a local Mexican restaurant just to tell me he loved my truck. At first it kind of creeped me out because he was just in his truck beside me staring at my truck. He asked if he could look at it so I said sure and he loved it.

All but 1 friend I know loves the color. It matches dirt so it's not that dirty when I went off-roading. When just mall crawling I don't need to wash the truck much so that's an added bonus. I've had several unsolicited comments when walking out of my truck.

my buddy snapped this pic yesterday going up a hill at Cleghorn.

My wife picked the color and we both love it. Its her daily driver and at least 1x a week she is telling me about people stopping her at the pump or pulling up at lights telling her that they love the color.

We briefly through about getting the Orange and think I would have ended up with buyers remorse with that color.

The only other car we have owned that people randomly came up this regularly to say they love the color was our World Rally Blue WRX.

I agree on this. Oddly enough there is a QS trd sport in town with the paint matched flares and it defiantly changes the look of the truck/color. If I didnt have an OR I would be spraying the flares black.

When I first saw qs on the 3rd gen I really liked it and tbh if they didn't have a TRD Pro model I'd be driving a qs OR. It looks great on a 4R too

I wasn't sure on the color when I first saw pics online. When I saw it in person the first time I "got it". It's a much deeper color than pictures show. I've gotten a couple of strangers complimenting the truck in the short time I've owned it, and I've never had someone compliment a vehicle I was driving before. I'm sure some people really dislike it as well.

From a resale value standpoint not sure how it will fair. The color should hold up well as brown based paints tend to hold up the best over time according to some articles from detailers I've read, but the color might turn off some potential buyers.

When was the last time anyone got an unsolicited comment about a truck/car color that was; "I just wanted to tell you I love your truck/car, but the color is horrible." ?

Thanks for all the replies. Quick question, none of my dealers have an OR in quicksand and are offering me extremely competitive deals if I get a quicksand in the TRD Sport trim. Can the fenders on the sport be changed to black?

I have never owned any other vehicle that generated so many strangers walking up and saying, "Love your truck, just what color is that?"

    Like, so many.
I like QS, but only in the OR trim. That color really needs the black accents to break it up.
My wife, however, hates the color.

Quicksand is one of those colors that, while it's not for me, I get the appeal of it.

Now cement on the other hand, I just don't understand. lol

I backed out of quicksand at the last second and went for Black. I love how quicksand looks but I don't know if I'd like it for myself long term. I've seen a few quicksands out on the streets since then and damn they do look good.

Someone in an 80s OD green army Blazer stopped to compliment my truck color and we discussed spraying a flat clear. I have painting equipment and am considering doing it. Usually I try to get the deepest clear gloss finish on a vehicle! Ha.
