Not sure on the difference, but there’s many better options than an Optima nowadays. Word is after they moved production to Mexico quality has shit the bed. Although, ymmv.

unfortunately my options are limited in Lebanon. That's the best I can find there for now, especially with all the rioting going on in Beirut.

I would order a Northstar online. Better battery and there is discounts floating around

If your only going to purchase from what’s available to you in Lebanon, why are you comparing the two batteries? Just get the best you can for what’s available.
Otherwise, take the advice you were given and purchase a better battery through ordering online

Because I want to know if the European version of the D35 is good for my truck. It only lets me select jeeps and older toyotas for that battery on the UK website.

    What differences are you seeing?

Both are rated 48 A-hr at C/20 rate
Internal resistance is quoted as 0.003Ω vs 0.0032Ω (just rounding it looks)
Reserve capacity is 98 minutes for both

    W: 6.75 in
    L: 9.38 in
    H: 7.69 in
    36.4 lbs

    W:172 mm (6.77")
    L: 237 mm (9.33")
    H:197 mm (7.76")
    16.6kg (36.6 lbs)

The only specification that looks different is the cold cranking amps. The US is rated 620A and the UK is 660A but the US page doesn't say what temperature they used for that. The UK one is done at -18°C, which is probably the case with the U.S. since CCA is typically done at 0°F. Also, cranking amps for the US battery is given as 770A and the UK is 810A.

If anything I'd say the UK is maybe a slightly better battery.

Because the UK website doesnt give me the option to select it for my vehicle, but the USA website does.

    This is why im asking.

Those selection things aren't necessarily complete or even correct. That's the advantage of using BCI group sizes. A group 35 is the same size and terminal layout regardless of who made the battery. The weight might be different and the performance can vary but they all fit in the same spot.
