The 2018 SR I am looking at has auto high-beams, does that mean that the headlights are auto? or, just the high beams?

    Thanks

It means when you have your high beams on, if it senses another vehicle it will automatically dim. The problem with this is reflections from road signs.

OK, but this doesn't mean that the headlights will automatically turn off when you stop the engine, correct?

You’re confusing “auto” headlights with “auto high beams”...

I understand the difference, I am just asking if there are auto highbeams, if the headlights are auto as well. Two different things, just trying to see if they are both there.

I don't think so on this model. I think it simply means it will turn the headlights off with the key if you happen to leave them on.

You will have a push button for auto high beams... stalk switch (turn function) for auto lights

My brother has a new Ridgeline with it and the reflection off the signs give it hell.

2018 it has the TSS added, which I thought included auto high beams. That will be a button down by the left cubby.

Occasionally someone in a parking lot will try to tell me that I've left my lights on.

The auto dim function is horrible and worse than just dipping the high beam manually.

Auto off headlights are fine and work as designed.

My 2018 SR has the auto high beams and it does not work well. I keep it deactivated. It does not have auto headlights.
