    Hello Tacoma World Family!

I just purchased my Tacoma TRD OR DCSB and have not been able to enjoy my Qi Charger. I have a Samsung S7 that has wireless charging capabilities and says it is compatible on the Qi Website.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Or should I just take it to the dealer maybe its just faulty or disconnected?

    Thanks.

I would get my hands on an old galaxy note 7 and leave it charging overnight. That should fix your problem.

I do have a UAG case on it but removed it to test. Still does not work. I wirelessly charge with my samsung one every night with the case though.

Not trying to be an ass here, but you are pushing the button to turn on the qi pad arent you?
Sometimes you have to move the phone around to find the sweet spot.

Hang out here a while, TW will cure you of that soon enough.

As for the Qi charger, definitely make sure you're turning it on as mentioned by daddy_o. Find a friend with a Qi enabled phone and try it with theirs. Ideally, also try your phone in a different truck.

    i.e. basic diagnostics technique...

I know with some cases wireless charging can have problems and also with placement. I don't do much of it but it sounds like you aren't a rookie at it. I'd try to check a fuse. Just drawing straws

Where are you placing the phone? I have a s7 edge with a flip Samsung case on it and mine works. Just make sure the phone is placed on the pad closest to you in the driver seat. Ie, Southwest portion of the pad. You should see the yellow indicator light turn on.

Yes I have the Qi switch turned on. Just restarted my phone and placed it closer to the passenger side and it started working. Found the sweet spot. I don't know if I just needed to restart my phone or just had to find the sweet spot. Thanks Guys.

Yep, having disassembled Qi chargers (see my charging mount DIY in my signature) the coils are about 2" diameter and you really need to get centered on it. Much easier when the puck is on a table, not quite so easy when it's sitting under the floor of a cubby. There are markings/outlines that should help once you've found the sweet spot.

Mine is doing the exact same thing. It worked until today. Anyone know how to fix this?
