Mine did this when I tried to charge my iPhone 11 without a case. When I added a thin case it cleared up. Only thing I can guess it’s that there was an issue with the phone not laying flat due to the camera lenses.

That explanation is a little weak but all I can come up with.

Try removing phone case. Center it cleanly. Try with a cold phone.

It does it soon as you press the button to turn it on, no phone in the tray.

Same problem here. I have not been able to determine the issue and have had no luck finding anyone online fixing it

Noticed mine did this the other day with girlfriends iPhone 11 after not trying for over a year. When it did work with an older iPhone it was so ungodly slow charging that I just resorted to cable only.

    Here's from the manual:
■If the wireless charger LED indicators flash If the wireless charging surface of the tray becomes too hot, the LED indicators will flash and charging is canceled. The LED indicators will be illuminated if the surface of the tray cools down. If the LED indicators flash even though the surface of the tray is not hot, the wireless charger may be malfunctioning. Consult your Toyota dealer.

Mine wasn't hot at all and only blinked double when phone was placed on tray...seems like the phone being uneven/too thick of a case is the general consensus on other threads and everyone just resorts to a cable.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
This is way up on my list of crap that I don't need in my truck.

It's because your phone is not centered on the magnet correctly. This is an issue with all qi chargers, and not a Tacoma issue per se. Experiment with the right positioning. The iPhone 12Pro needs to be laid flat (with Apple case is ok) and laid lengthwise left to right (or reverse) with the short edge very close to the light. If you find the right spot it will work every time, albeit slowly.

My iphone 8 charges when you slide the phone towards you and then slide to the right. Tucked into the passenger corner.

Mine does it when it gets too hot. Did it twice in 3 years maybe.
