Purple Drl lights, legal or illegal?

If I put purple drl lights on my truck im I getting tickets or no??? I live in Honolulu.

Purple, you will note, is not a legal DRL color. Nor will you find it listed as a legal colornfor any other type of lamo.

I know what you mean, but I can think of plenty of state laws more restrictive than federal laws. Not that they should, but they do.
