Okay, thank you. The install instructions for the Trail-gear pump kit shows the TG bracket being bolted onto the head, then the pump with pulley being bolted onto the bracket.
I will get the pulley put on the pump today and take it from there.

It’s not easy but it’s doable. Just have to work within one of the slots in the pulley

I read on another site that the pulley is one sided. Well the other site had a description but missing pictures. I contacted the OP of that thread and asked him which way the pulley goes.
There is one side that has a part number, then the other side has what could be confused for a really big snap ring groove around the shaft bore. Said groove goes on the outside.
Here is a picture he sent me.

Pictures are correct, groove goes on the outside so that you can take the pulley installer and press the pulley onto the steering pump shaft. If pressed on reverse you wont have the groove to pull it back off, or worse adjust it if you press on the pulley too far misaligining the serpentine belt.

Interested to see if this actually makes the Ford box work. That dumb fuck scotty claims it works just as good as is. That's what I get for listening to a trail gear rep LOL!!!

It does confuse me all the of the no love for the 3.4 from PSC and what not.

Seems good so far but my old pump had 245k on it so that could have played a large part in lack of boost/ assist.

When I called PSC to order it the rep said “uhh, where’d you see that kit?”
When I told him directly on their website his reply was “well that kit is actually discontinued but we should still have most of the parts.” The kit was removed from their website within a few hours.
So if you’re interested then give em a call and ask.
A friend of mine actually recommended a TG pump with everything else bought from PSC like resi and lines and such. Apparently their pump puts out more fluid, 1450 or 1600 compared to 1200 for the PSC, and their quality has “come a long way.”

And yeah, I remember Scotty telling me that these boxes work great.
I’ll let you know what I find out within the next couple days.

I've always had to pull the pulley before installing, but I haven't modified the pulley or the bolt. The bolt head won't fit through the PSC pulley. There's enough room to remove and reinstall the pulley while mounted...barely. It's much easier if you pull the fan and radiator.

I was able to just barely get the bolts through the pulley and into the pump and bracket. It was tight but worked great.
After having the truck down for 5 months, last thing I wanted to do was pull the radiator just to mount this damn thing.
