Sidewalls say 80psi max but Discount Tire says not to go above 52? I was at 34 and got topped off at 49. I don’t off-road, just freeway. Trying to maximize gas mileage on these tires (lol)

If the only concern is to maximize fuel your mileage, then pump 'em up to 80 psi. This will be the least rolling resistance. The down side is the ride will be hard, tires will wear out the center tread, handling will suffer.

Frankly, I'd start with the pressure on the door placard. Then adjust up/down from there depending on the driving behavior.

Others will come in to say set the tire pressure based on the "chalk method"

    or

You could use math and ratios of the max pressure at the max tire load. Estimate the truck's weight on each tire, then figure the pressure for the weight the tire supports. Start there, then adjust up/down depending on driving behavior.

Max psi/max tire load = new psi/est tire load
    solve for "new psi"
new psi = Max psi*est tire load/max tire load

I don't think anyone will say use XX psi in your tires.

If I went to 60psi on these tires, they wouldn’t pop when I drive on them?

    Doubtful.....maximum pressure is 80 psi.

    IIRC ..... 60 psi < 80 psi

I don’t care anymore about ride, I’ve got OME all around and the noise and ride quality is BOOM BUCK BAM! I can’t hear myself think on the freeway. I just crank the stereo and forget about it. People always compliment me on the look though haha! I’ve had plenty of people come up and ask what parts are on my build, I always get into a spheal about the importance of budgeting, tracking your finances, and how gas is my biggest expense. Truck is absolutely bulletproof and can climb like a 4x4 with the rear locker. I don’t know at this point if it would be cheaper to take a payment out on an electric car or keep the truck that’s paid for. Every time I look at my monthly expense on gas, I am reminded of how far it’s putting me from being able to buy houses and start a portfolio for financial independence. I probably wouldnt even have began budgeting and tracking my finances like I did if it wasn’t for how hungry at the pump this bitch is.
