Problems with Siri unlock/lock start commands on iPhone

I'm getting this message when I try using the voice commands through the Toyota app with my Iphone.
sorry, something went wrong. Toyota says sorry could not remote unlock your vehicle.
Invalid token: Token is not found. Never had this problem. If I go into the app and press the unlock button it works just not the voice commands. I have deleted the app and reinstalled and did a soft reset on the JBL head unit no luck.

Yes if have the option and service just say start my Toyota, Stop my Toyota, Lock or unlock my Toyota. You can even change the phase to anything really like lock my TRD PRO, Lock my truck/Tacoma you just have to change it in the siri shortcuts on Iphone. sucks mine is not working now for some reason. Maybe has to do with an update to the Toyota App and to ios 15.2 I just did.

 

Try another Siri command, just say Home depot and see if she finds a list of nearby HDs. I was getting the same "something went wrong" when I tried to navigate and eventually discovered that Siri couldn't do anything. I had to Reset network settings to get Siri working again.

 

Mine isn’t working either. I don’t use it very often but I tried it after the iOS 15.2 update and it still isn’t working.

I will try the iPhone reset later this evening to see if that works but as far as I can tell Siri works fine on everything else.

 

same here. Does it give you the Invalid token message? I wonder if it is something in ios 15.2 or the recent Toyota app update that mess with the commands.

 

Invalid token sounds like a Toyota security issue. Might try removing and reinstalling the app, or logging out and back in if that’s an option.

 

I have done that multiply times no luck. Even removed the truck from the Toyota app "Garage" and reentered the VIN and all still no luck.

 

I'd guess it has something to do with that, most likely. The token issue would likely be related.

 

just submitted feedback via Toyota app. Are you getting the same message about invalid token, Token not found?

Same here, I gotta say though what a terrific way to make something as simple as locking/unlocking your door into a complete shit show.

I just updated to iOS 15.2 on my iPhone and everything is working like it should. I tell Siri to start my truck and she does.

 

Usually a reboot of the phone helps.

 

I’m on OS 15.1.1 and just tried and got the invalid token message as well. Will try a restart. The Toyota app is functioning like normal, checked that too.

I had updated to iOS 15.2 last week and Siri still would not operate the voice command start feature. I was still getting the invalid token message. Today after following this thread, I tried it again and it now works as it should. Thanks for the updates!

 

Hey guys mine is fixed! Toyota app has an update available on Iphone and that fixed my problems. version 1.2.7

 

Do you have to do anything to set up Siri to use the Toyota app? I tried asking Siri and get the response “you’ll need an app for that. You can try searching the App Store”.

 

need the Toyota app and remote connect setup. the siri commands should be preset. You can edit the phrases in the app or shortcuts on Iphone.
