Ive used Pro-clip mounts on numerous vehicles, my current Z4M, my former Titan, so of course I added one to the Taco. Maybe not the most aethetically pleasing but very sturdy. They don’t seem to get much love on TW. Thoughts?

i do the same so i put the plate at the bottom of the phone instead of the center and it works perfect.

I love mine... have it mounted in front of the air vent to the left of the head unit. plenty of space between the vent too so it doesn't block anything. I can still point the vent toward me.

Love that it's eye-level enough that I can very easily keep up with GPS while still seeing the road ahead and if a text comes in I can glance at it (and reply via siri if needed) without losing sight of the road ahead. Only thing I notice is that every few months the width will widen slightly and I'll need to take the phillips to the center screw and retighten. keeping it tight it holds the phone very sturdy while off road and is not a pain to slide in and out like some that you have to spread the arms or mount to fit it in there.

there's lots of solutions that work well, but I have no complaints on my ProClip and I've had it on there for over 2 years. used with an iPhone 7 plus, now with the XS Max and no problems whatsoever.

Had ProClip mounts in four or five vehicles now. Best in the biz.

I've used proclip holders on all my vehicles for years and I love them. They're second to none, Panavise is the only other comparable brand out there.

I don't like the position of their Tacoma specific mount so I adapted my phone holder to a RAM mount, which is then bolted to my universal dash mount.

For that price I'd do a Dashtop Single Mount

I modified my Proclip phone mount to accomodate my RF brake controller to the left of the unit head. Easy access to manual trailer brake function.

I stick with the Proclip because it is low profile. Not really as noticeable to thieves than the screaming "look at me" mounts. The actual phone mount back is magnet attached so I can move it down out of eyeball view when out of the vehicle.

If you have the GoPro mount on windshield, I used a phone holder I found on Amazon witha ball joint and 3D printed a few parts including the GoPro clip to utilize that mount. I like it!
