I just got my Prinsu Pro roof rack. Got around to installing today but running into the issue of where the mounting bolts aren’t tightening all they into the cab. Followed the instructions on how to do it but once installed and ready to tighten it down it stays loose. Bolt doesn’t want to go anymore. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

Do you have the double cab or access? I ran into something similar with them not biting on my double cab but got them to eventually. Think my issue came from tightening one down and it raising the other side so the bolt wasn’t catching the threads.

Good point- always start them loose then tighten all of them in a star pattern. Recheck again after a good drive and after going off-road before loading it up.

OP, do the bolts drop in all the way and not tighten at all? Maybe stripped threads but try putting them in first loose then tighten them all.

I have this problem today. Got the Prinsu Pro rack for my 22 TRD OR. Every bolt is about a 1/4 in short. I pushed one down thinking it was silicone making it tough and now I have a stripped bolt in the passenger rear side. I am thinking this rack is the wrong one or the parts are incorrect. I could go get washers for the rest but I am looking/reaching out here to see if:
    1. Anyone else has received the wrong parts from Prinsu?
    2. Anyone has run into this issue with the 3rd gen (2022 in particular or any 3rd gen) and the Prinsu Pro rack?
This sucks as Prinsu runs banking hours so I cant validate part numbers. I have had to cut all that silicone they send you out and take off the rack. Now I have to deal with a bolt that turns endlessly and wont come off.

I am open to any suggestions for either of these issues.

Adding a little more - I figured out that it was the length of the threading on the bolt itself. The threads stop so either - the spacers are the wrong ones, the bolts are the wrong ones, or Prinsu designs their racks to slide side to side on the roof.

EDIT: I got ahold of Prinsu and confirmed I had the wrong risers. Even thought the bag said 1 inch risers, they were 3/4 inch risers, hence the 1/4 inch short. Prinsu is going to make good and send me new ones.

Make sure to measure these out before you start the install just to be safe!

How are you liking the Prinsu Pro? Got any pics to share with it on? Not that it’s likely to bother me but how’s the noise?

what made you choose the pro over the original?

@hyrule_trd - Sorry it took so long to respond!

I liked the beefier look and wanted to max out what the Taco roof could hold. With the short bed taco, I wanted to have options when camping - either sleeping in the bed or putting something on the roof. I camp with dogs a ton and they mostly sleep back in the bed. I also carry a few different boats/rafts up top so this seemed like a great option for that as well.

Additionally, it seemed like Prinsu had a great reputation but the more I read about them, the more I am finding out about the coating they use on the aluminum being an issue. I am worried about washing it (Its pretty dirty and needing to be washed now.)

I like the look of it. Still not sure how I feel about it. The truck lives in the garage but I am in Montana so we will see how it holds up over the winter - hunting season and lots of outdoor snow/cold/frozen to come.

The noise is negligible considering I play music real loud most of the time.
