Has anyone ever had a check engine for a pressure solenoid in their automatic transmission and found it to be something entirely different.
I am having this issue with my 03 3.4L supercharged, and have currently swapped the solenoid in question and the ECU.

Any ideas on possible solutions, or what may be causing this?
Or even tacoma mechanics in the North West corner of CT / surrounding areas?

Dumb question but after you swap solenoid, you did clear the code?

Did you test to make sure you have good power (~9-12v) at the pigtail going to the solenoid? Check for good ground (good continuity) on the housing?

Did you check if the original solenoid click (turn on) by applying power and grounding the solenoid?

Ok, you've discovered it's not likely just a solenoid issue. So what elsr are you going to do?

    What Repairs Will Fix P2716?
    1. Changing the fluid and filter.
    2. Replace faulty pressure control solenoid.
    3. Repair or replace a faulty transmission pump.
    4. Repair or replace defective transmission valve body.
    5. Transmission flush to clean passages.
    6. Cleaning corrosion from connectors.
    7. Repairing or replacing wiring.

From what my transmission guy told me it's looking like an electrical issue. Just had the solenoid swapped and nothing changed. He is confident the transmission has no issues.
Does anyone have a wiring schematic of the vehicle. Is anything else wired into the circuit going to and from the ECU and Transmission?

You have a wiring problem if the PCM and the solenoid have been replaced already.

I think you guys covered his issue very well .
I am also going with broken or corroded wires .
Most common is at the harness plug where the wiring goes into the transmission .
Check for resistance at the case connector going into the transmission , You will have to identify the color of the wires and what pins to probe . If the wiring inside the transmission going to the solenoid is showing good resistance , unplug the wiring from the back of the PCM and test the solenoid for resistance up there using the same procedure you used at the transmission harness . Pop some pictures . Show us what you are doin
You see this problem constantly on the 5 speed automatics but this will be a first for me seeing this with the 4 speed auto
