So a couple hundred miles ago I did the timing and accessory drive belts, water pump etc. I left the belts tight thinking I
They'd stretch quickly and I wouldn't have to go back and adjust..yeah I know-lazy.owell... So on first start I got a quick squeal,no problem I expected that..every subsequent start it lasts a little longer and gets louder but it always drops off with time..now it take 10-20 seconds of a screaming squeal. I have loosened all the belts by now but the damage seems to be done either way. I pulled all the belts and reinstalled one by one, running it for a squeal each time. Seems to be coming from my pump pulley shaft, which has some in and out play from the shaft to pump bearing area, I would assume this is my culprit but what do the pros think....thanks
