Does anyone know if the power sliding rear window is available as an option by itself on the trd off road ? I thought i seen it somewhere that it was but now i can not find it. I do not want to have to buy the $4625 optional trd off road upgrade package to get it..

I have not seen it as a separate option. We would know for sure if Toyota Marketing in Plano got off their asses and released the ebrochure.

That’s the problem with the Toyota.com configurator. It isn’t based on what is possible.

No its not, for the Sport and OR, you need to get atleast the Upgrade package to have the rear window

Amazing that it went from standard equipment to now having to buy a 4 grand option package to get it.

Very true. Here is the 2016 Specs brochure where page 8 shows a sliding rear window standard on all trims including the SR. BTW, the 2016 brochure was available in August 2015. I would still like to be able to see the 2024 brochure at some point.

I use my rear window more often than I use my driver's window.

The thought of paying 4k for a postage stamp hatch makes me irrationally angry.

This is why we went from a $39K truck to a $50K truck. You can't compare the base TRD OR 4G to the old base, because you need to add a $5K option package just to get back to the standard power seat and rear slider that the '23 had.

yeah it sucks but I guess if people will pay 8k for leather, Toyota thinks they’ll pay 4K for a window.

I just wish they would of made it like the 4Runner and crewmax where the whole window drops down

I also wish the rear window rolled down.

None of us want to pay the $4625 to get it back. Some of us won't, some will.

But then there are all the things the 4g base TRDOR has that the 3g doesn’t.

Sorry this is TW, you are not allowed to do that here. If it doesn't have power seats and a rear window it's an interior truck. /s

Ok, what are those things, specifically, and what is their practical value? A rear slider and a power seat provide practical value every day. Name something that is on the base 4G TRD OR but wasn't on the 3G and explain how it provides equivalent practical value.

    ^Rear window defroster?

    2.0" piggyback resi shocks?

Of course we can also be cynical and say something like "torque" or "2 more gears".
