John........Funny as I did the fuel pump back in the spring. I'm thinking of changing the filler neck and all those other parts on top of the tank while I have it all torn apart. But where do you stop.....

Well as someone asked.......so why am I sticking with Blurple........Truck form new belonged to my best friend. He was somewhat vertically challenged and sensitive about any questions on how big his feminine side was.........One day while winding him up (which was very easy) I made reference to his gay purple truck........He went nuts! LOL it's F#*'n Blue he insisted. I said something un-postable here I believe and from that day on the truck was known a "FGPT" "F" is slang for a cigarette in the UK, "G" well I mentioned this earlier in the post "PT" is purple truck....Everyone knew the truck locally as FGPT and Kim suffered this till he passed 6 years ago from ALS (Lou Garrick's). I made him a promise I would buy the truck from his estate and keep it on the road as long as I possibly could......He loved that truck man. He was a tree climber and the fittest 52 year old you could have met. ALS took him with some assistance from his nurse in 9 months......I miss him so bad.......Purple is also the official colour of the ALS Society here in Canada so it seems fitting to just keep FGPT original in memory of Kim.....FGPT got hit in June and written off.......But true to my word I bought it back and am keeping my promise to Kim.....

    Not a regular cab, but...

I was looking at old pictures the other day and came across this one. I don't have the truck anymore, but this it my old 1st gen, a 1998 Limited TRD-OR. I bought it in 1999 with 19K miles and sold it in 2008 with 229K miles. I loved that truck. I would love to get my hands on another 1st gen to have as a daily driver.
