Ok guys I'm having a dilemma. I have been told by multiple people that I know that follow behind my truck when I drive that I drive down the road sideways. My most recent was a guy today was behind me on a 1 lane road and ended up being a buddy that was going to the same softball tournament as me. We met up when we got there and he told me when he drove on the left side of the lane he can see the whole truck as could his passengers(his truck was full) and when he drove to the right side of the truck he couldn't see me fiberglass or my tires(my fiberglass has a 4inch bulge and my long travel puts my tires 3 inches further apart from stock) so this concerns me. What should I do to see if they are truly correct and how do I prove that my frame is fucked up to toyota. My truck just hit 28k miles. Is a 2014 DCLB and has been in one accident but only minor front end damage to my grill and headlight

Have you had your tire tracking alignment checked since your accident? Sometimes being in even a small fender bender can knock your front end out of whack more than you think would be possible.

    Just a thought...

Kinda hard to prove to Toyota your frame is bent because it's defective when you're LT and have an accident.

Have an independent shop look at this and measure your frame side to side. Sounds like it was more major than first thought; you'd be surprised what a front end hit can fuck up.

Maybe I am not following but why would Toyota be responsible if you had an accident?

I'd check the u bolts and the pin going through the leaf pack in the rear, and see if the rear end is shifted one way or the other. That will cause dog tracking

On a side note I really really hope it isn't bent.

Value of that truck would hit the shit house floor and I don't want that for you.

I think you should let your buddy drive your truck and follow behind to see for yourself.

Go to a good body shop and pay them to inspect your frame, square (take diagonal measurements) the frame, and check your thrust angle. My bet is your thrust angle is bad. Easily corrected. And even if your frame is tweaked it should be an easy pull to get it back to square given what you say about the accident.

Yessir toyota did the alignment themselves and fixed the trac control after I put on the long travel. The front end damage had no frame damage when I got it back from the body shop they said truck was fine bent a few mounting tabs for the grill and broke the head light

I'm not sure I said toyota would be responsible? I said how could I prove to them it tracks sideways to see what they can do about fixing it.

I'll be heading to the guy that did the work on it the first time and have him take a look. He specializes in off road/on road vehicles for body work. We live in a town with everybody into lifted off road vehicles. At least 1 person in every family is required to have one or your no longer welcome here :anonymous: not really but pretty true as far as everybody has something lifted and off road capable
