    Too few to list.
    Ported to?

When you said it works, works how? I thought about polishing mine but just didn't know if it would make a difference.

I don't port to any specific diameter. The stock throttle body has a sand-cast texture which is rough and creates turbulence in your intake. There are also two areas which abruptly reduce intake diameter:

The first is the leading edge of the throttle body itself, which I knife-edge. You can see the difference in the pictures. The modified throttle body has very little material at the leading edge to restrict/disrupt airflow.

The second is further in where the rough cast inlet is machined for the throttle plate. I port this area to eliminate the abrupt reduction of flow. The entire inlet side is then smoothly blended and polished.

I don't port or polish the other side of the throttle body. Some turbulence is beneficial to atomization. Also, the throttle diameter only increases after the throttle plate.

Let me know how this turns out and if you will continue to make them. I'd likely take one if there's a noticeable difference and if you shipped to canada!

What is your turn around time to get this done if I were to ship it to you?

That is the most time-consuming and delicate part of the process.

Well it turns out great, as you can see in the pictures. The difference made is not a drastic one, you won't see 15rwhp from this mod. It is something that will continually supplement any intake/exhaust mods. This changes the flow characteristics of your engine. It allows a greater volume of air to flow more smoothly into and out of your engine. This supports and supplements other mods such as intake/header/exhaust/spacer etc...

It takes me half an afternoon to complete one start to finish. I port, polish and re-polish until I'm satisfied with the results.

Absolutely no codes. 100% plug and play. 1 plug, 2 hoses and 4 screws, takes 20 min to install.

I don't plan on doing this much, the money isn't worth the time/work involved. So far this is just a one or two time deal since I have the parts and tools leftover to do it.

Hey Bill, that's beautiful work...

    (I'm a sandal guy, too. ;))

Since you have some throttle bodies off the engine, could you do me a favor and measure the distance in millimeters between the four mounting holes? I'm curious if a 4.0 throttle body has the same hole pattern as a 2.7.

I was able to put a 1.8 Corolla throttle body on my 1.5 Yaris...

    bth_IMG_7378_zps808d9c34_e6c2be22e2cbfc63fa7a09a9c0b4d462f1600fc0.jpg

Because the mounting holes were exactly the same distance apart and the electrical hookups are the same, it was plug and play. So I was curious if it was possible to do the same thing with my 2.7.

    Thanks,

    Greg

Thanks. I can double check in the morning, but I believe somebody checked before and found that they were different.

Looks good. Did you pull the throttle plate and butterfly shaft or work around it?

I still see what appears oem pop rivets holding the fly by wire together.

I've done some experimental chip swapping, and it's pretty easy to drill out the rivets and install small screws and nuts.

If u want real gain. Gotta get the urd adapters and get the 2010+ 4 runner with the new 1grfe throttle body. Its bigger than 05-13 tacoma 1grfe throttle body.

But good luck with that throttle body. U wont see any gain from that port and polish.
There already plenty of people did that already on xru and nothing gained.
