Portable winch

For those use a winch front or back do you have a box or storage container for it? looking for so type of container for it.

 

Those things are so heavy, you'd be hard pressed to find a box that would hold up to it. Maybe bolts some D rings in your bed and strap it down, and cover it with a sheet or something.

I assume you have on open top bed?

 

Warn makes covers for their winches, I’m sure they would work for others. You do need a way to secure it. This what I came up with. I don’t have a cover yet myself but I only carry it when I’m wheeling otherwise it lives a life of luxury in my shop. In winter its under the tonneau cover.

 

Thanks for everyone's advice. I found a heavy duty plastic container box that fits the winch and my rope, shackles etc.
