Haven’t been to that exact one but have been all around the area. If you don’t need running water or toilets I’d recommend cherry lake or lake eleanor. They’re right next to one another and there are barely any people out there. Cherry is my personal favorite lake in that area. It is free just get a permit from the ranger station nearby for camp fires.

I believe cherry has a campground right at the entrance to the lake with toilets. Don’t quote me on that. I typically go to the back section which barely sees any people.

You should try to grab a spot at Bridalveil creek. its off glacier point road. About 100campsites? people usually stay for 1-2nights, first come first serve, The sign for the campsite usually say "Full" But... don't that fool you. I would recommend arriving on a week day for a spot. They don't have any running water due to the fire few years ago. Can get pretty chilly, High bear activity area. You will get a fine if you leave food outside of the bear bin. A park ranger scouted my campsites looking for any food or anything scented before I was leaving.

been there may times. It's high altitude and the sites are not well separated, so noise transfers, but people are generally pretty quiet there. Not much around it in terms of buying supplies, so pack accordingly. In my opinion, the only reason to stay here is acclimatization on the way down to climb some of the bigger mountains. There isn't much else to attract someone to this campground.
