Popping noise when accelerating.

I haven't been able to get it on video (yet) but if I had to take a guess it sounds like I have a suspension issue. The pop happens when I accelerate. It's about 2-3 popping sounds.

I don't know where to look or what to really look for.

Has anyone else experienced this?

 

Does it sound like its coming from the rear or the front ?

Does the popping increase or decrease depending on how hard you accelerate?

 

I haven't really tried that. I baby it. I'll stomp on it on the way home and get back to ya.

 

It doesn't get louder. It does pop faster.

 

Check your ubolt, front leaf spring bolt and shackle, inspect leaf spring bushing, and shock nut and bushing

 

If it’s a single type click noise it could be the drive shaft slip joint

 

@HoldTheMayo did you ever figure out where your noise was coming from ?

 

I got under the truck and the suspension is gtg. I shook everything I could think of on the suspension and no sounds.
I check the drive shaft and it looked good as well.
I just happen to notice while changing out my drums that the exhaust was rubbing on the mud flap.
I put on new exhaust and rubber hangers and they settled it into the flap.

Cut here, smooth there and no more popping noise.
