Popping noise in front end related to cold weather?

First off, I have a 2013 TRD Sport with around 1,000 miles on it.

Last week I noticed a popping noise in my front end. It was when I was at slow speeds turning or going over bumps in the road. I could feel it in my left foot when it was on the plastic foot rest. It almost felt like I was bottoming out a little. I have an auto.

I did some research and found the post about frame to body mounts. I got out my torque wrench and tightened them down. They were definitely loose.

After that I smiled and jumped in my truck for a test drive. The noise/feeling was still there. Being an only 4 week old vehicle I called Toyota to schedule an appointment.

I got in my truck this morning to take it to the dealership and the sound was gone. The truck has been parked outside lately and it was below zero here last week and finally warmed up to 25 degrees this morning. Is there any chance the cold could have seized something like the shocks?

    Any other ideas?

I've had some awful noises when ice forms around the front cab mounts - melting snow from the windshield / roof runs down to that area, and has formed some pretty solid icicles between the body and frame. Might be something to check for before taking it in under warranty.

I had another thread going about a pop/knock from the back of the cabin that would get worse in colder temperatures. Sounded like a ping pong ball bouncing around. It ended up being the rear cab mounts (passenger side rear I believe).

2014 DCLB that I bought in August, so not sure what would be wrong with a mount from the factory like that, but had the dealer replace the two rear mounts and their "cushions" a few weeks ago, and haven't heard it since.

Mine is making a racket this morning. I got a screw driver and chipped the ice out of my wheel wells. See if that makes a difference. I parked by a leaking gutter yesterday and it coated the side of my truck at the fender line with ice, figure it made a mess. Didn't realize it was leaking till I came out from work and realized the sun had started melting stuff.

Jack up the front of your trucks, if you are 2WD you should torque the LCA cam bolts to 155 ft lbs, if you are 4WD torque them to 100 ft lbs.

Look at the space between the coilover and the sway bar, see if there are apparent rub marks as well.

Mine has popping, creaking sound/feel when it snows/rains and I drive and then park and the temps fall below freezing. As soon as the temps warm back up for a day it all goes away so I have just figured it is ice build up on something.
