    Hello All,

I am planning on purchasing the PL8540 and I want to install a backup camera as well. I talked to customer support at PnL and they said the tailgate handle is designed to fit the OEM camera. I have read in the forums that the OEM camera does not work well with aftermarket radios. Does anyone know what other cameras would fit/mount in the PL8540 handle?

I will be installing this on an 08 with a pioneer radio.

Following, I’m looking to do the exact same thing. I haven’t ordered the pop & lock until o can find a camera that’ll fit in it!

The issue with OEM camera is that it uses a 6V supply and not 12V. I have the manual PopnLock handle and ended up buying a master tailgaters handle with a camera. I took the camera out and installed it in the PopnLock with no issues. I'm sure there are cheaper options but I didn't want to deal with searching too much for one that would fit. This is the one I bought and reuse the cam for the PopnLock.
