I have a 2005 Tacoma Access 2wd. I have installed the P&L PL 8540 tailgate handle successfully. The problem that I am having is with the correct colored wires. I want to install for the passenger door so I can hit the unlock button on the remote twice to unlock. The colors that come with the instructions are not the correct ones for my truck. Has anyone with my year and model successfully worked this out with the correct colored wires?
    Thanks

I looked up the installation instructions. Garbage
Since your wire colors are different, you’ll likely need to go off pin location.
    IK1 connector pins #5 and #10
I’d suggest testing with a meter before making alterations to the wiring.

I checked and my lk1 has only 10 pins. In the diagram it shows 14. Do you think the needed pins remain the same, 5 & 10?
