ok so i know im gonna get shit for this and numerous people are gonna post the link to the clean install cb/radio/scanner thread. but idc. because i havent seen any clean installs of a scanner in a 3rd gen. i have a uniden bc355n scanner and need to be able to adjust volume and squelch every so often and to be able to see the screen would be a plus but not necessary. so i ask u people what are ur thoughts and ideas?!?!? also i am not drilling or cutting any dash or finish pieces as i have learned in my past taco to not do that.

I have a bc15x in my 3rd gen, I've yet to see an install thread. I bought some 6in drawer slides and adhesive mounted them to my glove box, and screwed the mounting bracket for the scanner on the slides. When I open my glove box, I can slide the scanner out and view the screen and adjust the knobs, or I can keep the door closed for a clean look.

I know you said you don't want to drill anything, fine.....might still be worth a look through this thread to find out how guys were mounting things before they ended up with the DMM....

It really is a solid, easy way to get great mounting options if you do change your mind. Worth watching the install videos just to see how it works

    good luck
