How are you preventing the bolts from pulling through the plastic bed? I’m not familiar with these. Did you also use tie downs on the front?

There is a steel U beam at the back of the bed that i drilled through and i cut up another mouning plate and put it on the underside of the bed.

If you don't use tie downs what keeps the bikes front end from bouncing up on a large bump? I think I would still use tie downs, just not compress them all the way like we usually do to hold the bike stable.

The suspension of the bike and its weight keep it from bouncing. that being said i wouldnt go high speed off roading but i have never had an issues. used this system for years on my trailer before i bough the truck.

I have been using the Pit Bull restraint on my ZX6R and other sport bikes for years. Pit Bull is in Huntsville, Alabama. Charlie VanValkenburgh the owner is a former NASA engineer. Their front and rear stands are also over the top. These things are over engineered and that is what I want and expect. Trust me the bike does not move at all no matter hitting the brakes hard or swerving. It connects to the rear axle which is the strongest point of the bike. Plus zero damage to the bike which you might end up if you use a ratchet tie down.

Neat. I've thought about installing one of those in the box of my truck too but wasn't sure how/if it would work with it mounted in front of the rear tire. Looks like it works just fine. Personally, I would have used bigger bolts to mount the plate to the bed.

Could you fit two of these across the bed? I have an opportunity to pick up a couple off a buddy!
