Ok, you don't have to do anything but attach the wires between the head unit harness to the toyota Maestro harness, then plug it all in.

    Here ya go -

Understand that I don't have a speaker solder sheet because I use an amp - so I just wrapped those wires unused on both sides.

Also, make sure you watch the video on how to do the brake over-ride.

I’m installing the Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX in my 2021 TRD Off Road. Does anyone know if this will mess with the ability to remote start the vehicle from the Toyota iOS App? Thanks!

I was thinking about getting the 8600 for my 2021 Tacoma. Does wireless carplay work well on it? Can you hook up USB source with music and also use wireless carp'ay at the same time? Anyone have regrets buying that unit?

I can't speak to carplay, but wireless AA hooks right up - well, faster than it did on the Kenwood DMX905s it replaced. You should be able to use whatever source you want for music. I have used HD radio while in android auto.

What camera are you using on the front? Did you have to clip the cables on it to make it flip the image or anything like that?

Can anyone help me get a concise list of things required for this headunit? I was on crutchfield and they have an install kit, then there is the maestro rr, then a Toyota specific maestro?

My goal is to have the factory functionality (steering controls, Bluetooth) and added functionality of CarPlay and the fun stuff!

What specific products do I need? (Modules, adapters, harnesses, etc etc)

    Lots of thanks in advance!!

I purchased off crutchfield and it gave me everything I need except the satellite radio which I do not use. You can get the adapter for it if you use it. The two maestros it shows are two different things. One is the unit and the other is the harness you need to plug into the factory harness. You hook up the maestro harness to the pioneer harness.

if you need help picking things out you can call crutchfield and they will get you everything you need and put it right in your cart for you, which is what I did to make 100% sure I got everything

I actually grabbed the 8600nex. The 6600 and 7600 were never in stock, so just got the bigger one. Can't really flush mount it, but I like it.
