So I just installed the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX. LOVE IT. Now I need speakers.......
I have been looking at the Infinity Kappa 693.11i 6x9for the front. Anyone running them or know if they will fit? If not any recommendations?

    Thanks

Crutchfield has some Focals that fit directly into our Tacoma's, no adapters needed.

I've read a few reviews from people that bought those and regretted it. Sounds like you're paying for the custom fit over sound quality.

I've read great things about the Image Dynamics CTX line. I was very close to putting a set into my wife's car, but she admitted that it would not make a difference to her ears. So I figured it wasn't worth the money and effort.

I got some higer end Focal Flax's and dont really like em. Last week i went to best buy and bought some 6.5" Kicker Coaxial speakers (69.99) and they sound as good or better! the staging is a little worse cuz theres no separate tweeter in the door but honestly i might be selling the $400 focals and keeping the cheap Kickers. I power em with an Alpine PDX-V9, which is 100 watts RMS per channel

I think it's more about tuning and powering the system right, than choosing the right speakers

Oh and i have a NEX 4000 installed, its nice but im pretty mad at how Carplay hasnt come very far. Its buggy and doesnt work like an apple product should. Still a great head unit though.

I have the same HU and am running HAT Imagines 6X9's up front - powering them with a JL XD700/5, and running them active, doors deadened - I think it sounds pretty good - that said, my next purchase is the Access Cab Stealthbox...then I'm done...I swear.
