Please post pics, especially of the actual drop bracket after installation, I want to see how low it hangs down. On a side note if anyone has pics of the one inch front diff drop kit before and after that would appreciated as well. I am almost maxed out as far as height on my COs, considering the Procomp because 4 inch of drop bracket should not hang down as much as Fabtech 6 inch drop bracket.

As far as ground clearance goes it will be the same as stock with the 4" and the 6". Only thing that gives extra clearance up front is bigger tires. From the frame the 4" literally drops down 4". The 1" diff drop actually only lowers the cvs about 1/2"

Im guessing your 3" now? Why spend all that money on a shitty db lift for an extra inch? If you really need it daystar makes a 1" body lift that replaces the whole mounts. Its the only one id recommend.

This shows the difference in clearance, 33s and no drop bracket left, 35s and drop bracket right. Both have 2inch body.

I have 3inch body and COs with 35s

I am still rubbing at full lock, hammer the pinch weld and cut notch in flairs.

just trim your fenders a little more. Almost nobodys running them because they are horrible lifts. your gona pay $1500 to loose ground clearance up front and permanently cut up your frame.

My friend has one on his truck. I like the way it looks. But he never went wheeling with us... Go figure

What is it youre really wanting to see? A DB is a DB, pretty much all the same. And as Devin mentioned the 4" will be the exact same clearance as the 6". Just the six will set you up higher. Also as he mentioned they will be pretty much the same clearance as stock. Now where it looks like a DB lift dosent have as much clearance as a small coilover or spacer lift is cause the control arms have been pushed down so to speak creating more clearance, obviously... But as far as totally stock, a DB lift is gunna be right there in the same realm as far as clearance goes. The fabtech kits have a much better knuckle design btw(big fat one piece design) than any of the other kits that use spacers and crazy contraptions that utilize the stock knuckle.

My buddy's 99 with pro comp lift. He ditched the shocks for custom Kings to get rid of the funky shock spacer. Rides way better.

Ah nice, thats a good idea! Did he happen to get that coilover made to give him a lil more lift? Since the DB design puts everything back to stock geometry a guy could actually get another 2.5" or so of extra lift on top of the lift acquired from the DB. Thats kinda something I've always thought of doing....

I bet it does ride way way better set up like that. Should get rid of that funky knuckle spacer too, those things seem so weird to me. As i mentioned in my last post he coulda got the one piece fabtech ones to swap out with getting rid of all the spacers... I suppose there's nothing wrong with those spacer dealios though, just look kinda weird..

My buddy had an 05 that he had a 5" DB lift with OME coils. It fit 35s easy. But COG became an issue. Better to be lower to the ground with IFS for wheeling. Just armor it up!

it's a standard King coilover... i want to say it's the 12 or 14 inch travel coilover... he did crank his up for an extra inch of lift...

he also went with 305 instead of 285 wide tires and 3.625" backspace to widen the stance to compensate for the increased center of gravity...

So this what I was looking for. This Tacoma has (Tough Country lift comes with longer spindles) 33x12.50R15 with COs. The space from ground to DB appears plenty large enough. I do not like the Procomp spindle spacer. I agree center of gravity will be pretty high especially with the body lift. SDtrucksprings sells the Tough Country 5inch DB for $1400.00, and my mechanic quotes $400 for labour. I have only been running the COs for 2 months, not driving every day, and wheeled in the mud once, now both CVs are leaking bad. Guess I shall start saving pay checks.

That's some serious coin to go big. Have you weighed that out against a slow build to SAS?

Oh before I forget again. On my buddy's DB lift, on one wheeling trip, the DB crossmember bent and shifted on the frame. Since it involves permanently removing the stock crossmember and replacing with a bolt on lower crossmember, it alters the integrity of your front geometry.

If planning to wheel the truck after the lift, consider the extra expense of having gussets welded to the front end to prevent the DB crossmember from flexing/shifting. Only takes one solid hit/obstacle to throw that front end out.

Thats way more than 4" lift. He probably stacked a 3" on the 4".

Yeah OP @devinzz1 is right i believe, that looks to be a DB with a coilover setup...

Also fabtech uses longer one piece knuckles without those stupid spacer deals...

Yes it is, COs is my abbreviation for coil overs.
