Please show me some pics of how you did your back wall of your double cab (2nd gen) with MLV.

Andybody made a barier for the "C" pillar?

    Thanks

Thanks tomwil. That's Steven's build. Excellent work. I've been following his methods / advice.

    Here is where I'm at:

    Damper and foam done.

I'm trying to decide if I should MLV over that horizontal support bar. The plastic bin is not going back in, although I have some accessories going into that space...

I'll have to trial and error to see if it's worth the trouble.

Have an access cab, but the rear wall appears to be similar. I did the same with neoprene & mlv, skipping over the braces due to fitment. I treated the braces with cld, but not much since rapping on them produced insignificant resonance. You can try to apply mlv & ccf, but you may have problems fitting the panel back on. In the access cab, the rear seat back has jute that would need removing in the area of the braces and it wasn't worth the hassle.

Thanks. My mission for this project was to block unwanted noise and improve passenger experience. I have mud-terrain tires and wanted quiet as possible. The plastic bin won't be going back in, I'm putting an air compressor back there. I was curious if anyone had covered the braces with MLV. In the end, I decided it wasn't worth the effort.

Here are some recent pics from the last weeks work. :)

I even treated the "C" pillar

The tacoma was.more noisy than I thought it would be when I first got it (secondhand). The improvement made by the treatment was like night and day. I suggest to all to do it!
