I got a CMC but still rubbing on the rear fender area (circled in this photo) when flexed. Does anyone have pics of how you trimmed this part? There is a bolt right behind the area that is rubbing, so I am hesitant to cut that off. I only have 275/17's! Kings with 3" lift and total chaos UCA's this should not be happening. Caster is at 2.0 if that makes a difference.

Not only trimmed plastic but the pinch weld behind it.

Oh wow you really cut that out. I already did the pinch weld, so this is what I need to do now. Appreciate it!

caster at 2*, I would get an alignment and see if they can get the caster to say 3.5ish

I was at 3.5/3.9 and still needed to trim it out a bit more.

What are the specs on your wheels? I bet that's the culprit.

Better drive-ability and also pushes the wheel/tire farther forward in the wheel well.

They are procomp la paz 17x8.5 / 4.5bs

I'll get the alignment adjusted and do some more trimming. I want to run 33's next time I get tires.

That's not too bad spec wise, but definitely contributes to rubbing. Good luck with your trimming!

Trimmed/undercoated like a boss. The furthest part that sticks out is the rubber butt plug

thought I read 255/80/17, my bad, yes 32.2. Your set on the UCA's just see if the alignment guys can squeeze more caster is all.

What would be optimal wheel specs?

Depends on the tire size, but for 275s, you need them to poke out juuuust enough to clear the UCAs. Maybe 8" wide with 4.75" BS or so. I believe that's the specs on FN wheels.

2017-12-07 17.13.12.jpg I'm learning that the BS and offset makes a HUGE difference. I have F5's 17x8.5 4.3bs/-10mm os. Had to really trim alot. Also beat my pinchweld out instead of in, probably too late to reverse now.trim.

The plastic flare needs to be cut as well, currently looking for what works best. Also think im rubbing just a tiny bit up front. Caster is 3.8/4.1. If I would have went with a wheel with say 4.5bs/0 offset would have been better.

Get it pushed out to at least 3, if possible 4. I rubbed A LOT when I was at 2.5, now with with at 3.9, it only rubs in reverse (running 285/70/17)

even at 4, my wheel at only that particular angle would rub on the corner, which means when compressed probably worse. So gonna chop off the plastic in the corner as well, dremel time.
