The vast majority of junkyards are being shut down because of the insurance costs and land values (why make 50K/annum when you can sell your 10 acres of cars for a cool million?). There might be a U-Pull-It in south Jersey, near Voorhees.
Albion Auto Parts in Atco, NJ - the owners are pretty much jerks, and not the cheapest, but they do have a lot of vehicles.
Ahah, Shorty's is still open: http://www.shortysautoparts.com/

I can second the Shorty's response. Being local to that yard, I have never had any issues there. They used to offer a set price on Saturday's (I think), and whatever you could carry out for that price was yours. I am not sure if they still do that or not, but the yard is a good yard with a lot of parts.

i live near that shorty's actually, it closed within the last year, and sold all its land next to the fedex compound. i havent been to junk yard barbie, hopefully they are still open. there is a co-parts type place near by as well. but i dont think they part vehicles. will have to check them out as well.

They could have moved all their cars else where... but why do that when there is a major recycling plant a few streets down.

Just called Shorty's, they are technically open, but they don't do u-pull-it. They gave me Harry's in Pennsburg.

Not technically a junkyard or U-pull but they have parts from salvage cards and such, I snagged a wheel for my wife Acura and and quarter panel for my daughters Escape there. Pricing wasn't too bad.
