Late on this thread, but I had a local shop re-stall mine and it was around $600, doing the uninstall and install work myself. I can flash at 2400, and if I hold it coming up on boost I can leave at over 3k and 10psi of boost. It drives like stock, retaining lockup and everything.

 

I plan on doing some of the normal bolt-ons to my 4.0 but my question is would this be beneficial if I were to tow with my truck semi-often? I'd get an upgraded one for that reason alone if it'll help put less stress on the auto trans. I'm a newb when it comes to that, never really towed anything before and this is my first truck.

 

Won't put less stress on the trans, only more. There's a reason an RV and big truck converters stall all extremely low rpm. You want them locking up soon as possible to reduce heat buildup.

 

Good to know, I know towing will always make the trans temps increase so definitely don't want to add to that.
