    SS100 and 260GTX. 2 stroke motor (piped).

I’m presently using SS100 and was wondering if the 260 had more performance given it is oxygenated just slightly more.

I don't have any input, but Topanga was probably my first TV crush. I'm hoping your username is a reference to her, or I'm just being a old idiot.

The 260GTX is not oxygenated, so it contains no ethers or alcohols that are used to increase octane. As a result, the 260GTX octane # will likely be a little less than that of an oxygenated fuel.

Since you're in California, this fuel would be illegal to use in any application outside of competition racing.

Damn! I thought it was oxygenated.

Yeah, I’m using SS100 currently in my racesaw, a bored, stroked, and piped Husqvarna 3120xp.

    That is one serious chainsaw!

Consider the 260 GT-Plus for fuel with serious umph.

I was able (barely) to buzz to a 1st place this past Sunday. 11.31, 11.34, and 3rd place was 11.60

That was super crazy close racing. So I’m looking for a slight advantage for next year!!!

    Outstanding, congratulations!

To be honest, I've never seen a chain saw / log cutting competition, but I can appreciate competitions in all its forms. Especially one that I'm assuming has its roots in competitions held when logging was much more prevalent than it is now.

And like I said, that chainsaw of yours is insane. Something out of a movie. Name it "Spirit of Doom" in homage to the video game. Lol

    How'd you get into this?

    Thank you so much

I got tired of paying nearly $400 for a cord of oak. I figured paying for a chainsaw and hauling and cutting the wood at home wood be better and more fun. I wasn’t lying to myself!

The building and racing came 6 years later. I started back in 2008 with a Makita 510. Learned how to read a degree wheel and take port timing readings. Invested in a lathe and mill. Began to buy PRO saws and not homeowner saws. Now I have a herd of PRO Huskies, and take racing seriously enough to pay $330 for a race chain that will only be used for 10-15 cuts. It can however be sharpened for a smaller fee thereafter. The high cost is to get in initially. But I love to do it, and the people are great.

260GT plus it is. Thank you!!!

Sticker shock right? Mixed hardwoods was “slightly” less. I got smart enough seeing the money go away enough was enough. Although we’re finally installing AC/heat. Took 15 years, but thankful nonetheless.
