I just had my OEM radiator swapped out to the CSF from URD 2row Aluminum for my 2010 4.0L Tacoma and noticed that my go to mechanic had refilled it with Pentofrost (Pento) A4 Blue? I have read the forums and most recommend oem pink long life can this be used and will it provoke any damage to my aluminum radiator and engine? Also I have read that the blue is for iron engines and pink for aluminum can I get any help or should I drain it and go with oem pink?

If it's blue it's the wrong stuff, and is not the A4 formulation:

Drain, flush with distilled water, and replace. No need to go with the Toyota branded stuff, I've been using Zerex Pink Asian flavor for years. Readily available and not particularly expensive. No personal experience with the Pento flavor.

If they’re a “mechanic” why would they use the wrong stuff when shops have ability to get it, have it, or order through multiple delivery distributors they have accounts with

Color doesn't mean much anymore. It is just a dye that manufacturers use to distinguish their coolant from others. Your Toyota/Lexus manual states to use Toyota coolant or “a similar high quality ethylene glycol based non-silicate, non-amine, non-nitrite, and non- borate coolant”. An affordable antifreeze I have found that meets this criteria, verbatimly, is Walmart’s SuperTech antifreeze. I’ve been putting that in all my Toyota/Lexus products since 1998 with no issues.

I have always wondered about that spec.
"high quality ethylene glycol based..." - High quality is a vague term. Glycol base, but what about the other additional chemicals?
"non-silicate, non-amine, non-nitrite, and non-borate" - It can't have these, but it doesn't state what the other chemicals should be.

I know that motor oil is loaded with additives that are not specified (trade secrets?). Is coolant the same?

I don't over think it, as long as the antifreeze is from a reputable manufacturer and it is non-silicate, non-amine, non-nitrite, and non-borate, it is good to go for me. Another key phrase is that the antifreeze is good for all models, which is what the SuperTech states.

Pentofrost has coolant for German vehicles that is a German formula. This is common.

I don't know if they have Japanese. According to the internet they do and supposedly 'A4'

Normally, factory coolant is $12 at the dealer. So when I need some, I go get it.
I see now Pentofrost costs twice more. Even better.

You read from a piece of paper instead of verifying what's in your radiator and reservor tank?

12$ for the yota pink is a Good Deal!

do these 4.0 Gen2 take more than 1 gallon on a simple drain refill radiator?
i was surprised when i did this on a 2TRFE 4cyl and only took 1 gallon
my Gen1 takes a whole 2 gallons for just the radiator drain and refill

So, late to the party here, but figure I'll throw in some useless information. They make an Asian coolant that is dyed blue. It's the same formulation as the Asian red/pink. Commonly used in Subaru and others.

probably at least have 2. Common on any car. There are further drains that can be worth servicing like on the engine to get more out. Or if not doing those then maybe another repeat of a drain and fill.

    bigger engine more coolant.

A gallon of Toyota SLLC is adequate to drain/refill the rad and overflow. That is what I do every other year instead of doing the full flush method.

^It certainly sounded like you wasted time posting on the forum instead of simply opening the hood to check.
