Originally i was looking for a cheaper alternative to Mobil 1s 10,000 mile syntethic then i found this.
Has anyone this Pennzoil that supposed to be good for 15 years or 500,000 miles between change intervals?
THis seems unbelievable has anyone used this stuff supposed to be made from natural gas sythetics.

"Pennzoil Platinum® Full Synthetic Motor Oil helps extend engine life and protects for up to 15 years or 500,000 miles, whichever comes first. Guaranteed.4 Pennzoil Platinum® is made from natural gas, not crude. Its base oil is 99.5% free from engine clogging impurities and is designed for complete protection for top engine performance. Lmao. Read the stipulation they have cited below that statement. It’s not 500k miles or 15 yrs between change intervals. It’s engine life overall while using their oil with manufacturer oil change intervals.

What’s really funny is they state a vague warranty up to 125k miles. But I highly doubt pennzoil is dropping any sort of penny in a blown engine claim while using their oil.

This is weird they state these mileage requirements which i have never heard any company do it like this but just saying your engine will last that long if using this oil but only applies to basically new engines not your 68 Javelin 454 big block apparently.
But then nowhere i find what the changing interval is Mobil 1 full synthetic is 10K.

Actually just found a Mobil 1 synthetic extended performance that claims 20,000 miles.

You need to read SLOWER and MORE CAREFULLY.

The specified DRAIN INTERVAL of an oil is not the same thing as the engine protection warranty.

    “For up to”

    This thread is dumb.

Just read your owner’s manual and change your oil at the mfg recommended interval.

Think Castrol did something similar at one point. you had to have proof of use of only Castrol, every 3k miles. Receipts and paperwork from the shop you took in to. wouldn't you know they never paid out. becasue someone didn't follow other maintenance per the manufacturer.

and I wouldn't put Pennzoil/ Quaker state in my cars. ive taken apart a few "meticulously maintained engines who only went to the dealership for changes and scraped more crap out of the top end. maybe things have changed but still.

I have used Mobil one 10,000 mile and 15,000 mile change interval and not had any issues theyre been making it for years. Will probably just go with the 10,000 mobil full synthetic. Not really sure why Pennzoil goes through trouble to list mileage but instead of listing interval lists overall vehicle mileage completely worthless!
Then on top of this they do not seem show anywhere what the oil change interval is using there product, just another good reason to go with Mobil 1 10K.
