Blew up my passenger side mirror like a dumb ass, backing out of the garage. My color matched cover was unharmed thankfully. I couldn't bring myself to buy the $200+ authentic Toyota replacement mirror....so I took a chance on the cheaper alternative (only $78). I'm happy to report to this group that the part fit like a glove. Integral blinker and mirror motor work perfectly. I followed the instructions in the links below and knocked it out in under 30 min. The moment of truth, if any step was going to expose my budget buy, it was replacement of the black cover with my authentic Toyota cover. Couldn't believe it fit perfectly. I'm happy that it was only $80 to fix my stupidity instead of triple that. Hope this helps.

Nice find! I did the same thing and was shocked when pieces went everywhere. I managed to put it back together but have a crack in the clear plexiglass where the turn signal light is. This looks to be a good option.

Any issues with this replacement rattling? I have the same replacement on the drivers side, the glass shakes distorting the image the housing seems to rattle over bumps.

Just replaced my passenger side with this mirror (premium heated, w/o blind spot, with the chrome blinker) and I'm very pleased. I was hesitant to buy an aftermarket knock-off, but I'm glad I did. Holding the two mirrors side-by-side it's almost impossible to tell the difference between these and OEM. If you run your hand along the black plastic it is slightly more coarse to the feel but visually it looks the exact same in every single way. I planned to replace the mirror w/ my OEM one, but given the glass looks to be of good quality, I'm going with the mirror on the after-market one.

Like the OP, my silver color-matched cover snapped right on without any trouble. Motor works as well (if not a bit quieter) than OEM as does the turn signal. Glad I didn't fork out more than double the cost of this mirror for OEM. Easy install ~20 mins and my wife's garage mishap is fixed for less than $100

NOTE: On a short drive, I've seen ZERO issues w/ shaking or anything. If I do over time I'll report back, but I don't think OP has had any issues either.

    Thanks @Cam308

I'd remove and reassemble the mirror (you can use the Rav4 convex mirror mod directions to find out how) to make sure it's secure. Likely the mount of the mirror is just loose to the base where the heater coils are.

Hi folks, new member and first post. Hoping to get some help.

Last night someone hit the driver side mirror on our new 2020 Offroad (less than 700 miles :(). It looks like they barely grazed it because the mirror itself works fine (motor, BSM, heater, blinker) but it was enough to tear off the plastic body housing and break some of the internal plastic pieces that seem to hold the wires. I've attached some photos for reference.

A couple of questions - any idea if it's possible to simply replace the housing / internal plastic pieces? Not even sure how to identify the correct parts or ensure I'm getting everything I need. More reasonable is probably to replace the whole mirror with something like the part referenced above. I'm assuming that since 2020 is still a 3rd gen Taco the part should be compatible but would really appreciate if someone could help me confirm.

    Thanks a ton in advance!

Does anyone if the hinge/part that mounts directly to the truck, separates from the rest of the assembly? I totally ripped the mirror off my truck, getting out of the below, and although the mirror looks good, the mount/hinge is destroyed. For the record my wife was driving DE6D3B83-7E82-4B99-A1CC-B7CBCAC0846F.jpg

Wondering what you ended up ordering for this, did you go with the parts listed above?

For those of you who have the aftermarket mirror that rattles/vibrates, which aftermarket brand did you buy from the OP's link: Brock, TRQ, DIY Solutions, Action Crash Parts, or TYC?

@Chew yeah, bc his wife found out he the HER under the bus!!!

I had something similar backing into a wooded driveway. The mirror, motor, heater, blinker, warning light... everything is fine except the cowl.
