Does anyone know if the party mode switch from the 4Runner fits in the slots below the radio on 2nd gen tacomas? It looks like its smaller than the switches near the steering wheel, but may be the right size for the slots under the radio. I've searched Google and I've found people who said they were going to do the mod, but never found any end results.

I'm considering doing a mod with this switch to control an amp/sub.

    This is the switch:

Seriously though, if you can get your hand behind the switch you should be able to pop it out enough to get a ruler on it.

"Party mode raises the bass and transfers the equalization to the rear of the vehicle."

essentially, better sound for when your liftgate is open for entertaining.

Well changing it will be trick. Keep in mind you will probably want to either replace it or make the needed new connections so your stereo continues to play the way you want with the switch removed.
And yeah, I'd just pop the sucker out and see how it measures up.

Party mode switch.. gonna look for one. I think interior lights / light organ should be part of it too!

I dont have anything hooked to that switch yet. But I will be adding a 40" dual row roof light bar to that switch eventually

Party mode cuts power to the back seat speakers and send amplified power to the hatch speakers.

I leave it on all the time, much better sound at my driver seat.

How are you guys not Mods? I thought everyone who sold their Taco and bought a T4R was automatically given Mod status.
