I bought this 2002 Tacoma that'd been barn sitting after it was wrecked in the front. Older guy was piddlin with it, and honestly, i've come to the conclusion he knew just enough to be dangerous.

None of the junkyards within an hour of me have a first gen at all, or else I could just go grab what I need. And to order it online, I can't put a description into google to get close enough to even find what I'm trying to order.

If any of y'all know the answers or can point me in the right direction, I'd be forever grateful and dance at your wedding.

For what it's worth, I think two of the three pics/parts are related to vacuum hose. IMG_2191.jpg engine pic.jpg IMG_2190.jpg

Are any of these photos actually your engine bay?

The first photo shows a vacuum line off the drivers side valve cover to the intake to recover exhaust gas. It looks like the the original formed line has been replaced with generic fuel line. Nothing wrong with that- it just misses the metal clip you circled.

The second photo is of the Diagnostic port. Is yours missing? I think it's possible that later motors did not have them.

The third photo is pointing to the location where the Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum line would be routed.

All of that being said, each model year, and individual vehicle configuration could be different. When you're comparing to photos on the internet, make sure you're comparing apples to apples. In your case, '02 v6 2wd 6-lug auto.

What exactly is your question- Is your truck missing these items and you think they should be there, or are they there but you think they are routed incorrectly?

The two pictures that involve vacuum hoses are of my engine.

The one with the really clean engine, that's not mine; That photo is supposed to be the same year and everything as mine.

The vacuum hoses were all jacked up when i first got it and it was getting like 8 mpg. I think I've got everything correct except for that one that i'm missing. I'm just not great at reading those routing diagrams.

That second photo looks like the diagnostic port? Should be under the dash on a 2002 near your hood latch.

There are two different ports- the one in the engine bay (and in the photo) and the ODBII in the cab. As I previously mentioned, at some point they removed the one from the engine bay, but I am not sure of the year. Which why I mentioned to the OP to make sure he comparing apples to apples when looking at photos.

I had that diagnostic port under the hood on my 1999 Tacoma but not on my 2004. Not sure if it’s 2000 and before. Or not.

I think it's closer to 2003.5-2004, but it also might be 2002-2004. My '01 has both.

OP, I would also suggest cross referencing the serial number on your motor to see if it's been swapped:

Might have to get in touch with a toyota dealer willing to do a vin / serial number match for you at that point. But it might help narrow down some of the issues you're running into.

I'm actually going to the dealer in a few minutes to get a recall taken care of that the previous owner never touched.
