Recently purchased a 2009 Regular Cab in MGM. Not sure I like the black plastic look of the fender flares; kinda want to paint match them, along with the front and rear bumpers. Has anyone done this before, any advice?

painted fender flares is a much nicer look in my opinion.

Looks awesome! Looks like these are aftermarket flares, I'm interested in just painting the factory flares with some Duplicolor factory colored paint. Thoughts? I'm trying to find anyone that has done something similar but can't seem to find anything.

Yes they are aftermarket flares, painted to match truck. I never like the look of the black plastic flares. Takes away from the appearance in my opinion.
Yeah I'm not sure what kind of primer you need to put on those to get them to hold the paint. Were you able to find a rustoleum color that matches your truck body?

Yep, Duplicolor has some MGM paint to match. Just was trying to find a thread where people paint matched their stock fender flares, but not finding anything haha

A few mods here and there and counting....
I've used this company before for OEM colors in a spray can. Painted the grill and headlight fillers, matches great. If i had to do it over again, i would go with their 2k clear instead of normal clear coat.

I was mistaken before, it was Duplicolor I found 1G3 for, not Rustoleum. But anyways thanks for the info here, this stuff looks great. But it's $23 for a can of 1G3, whereas I found the Duplicolor for $10.99 at Autozone. Maybe I'll try out their clear coat.

Would highly recommend the 2k clear coat. It’s all I would personally use on my stuff and is closer in durability to the actual clear coat on your vehicles

The duplicolor factory aresol was no where close to factory paint color and the clear coat was horrible. FWIW that was my experience with it
