Had 265/75R16's installed yesterday (and today) on my '16 AC and have zero wobble or vibration. One tire balanced with no weight at all. All others used one small weight. I'm surprised how quiet they are.

The Discount Tire that installed them said mine were the first set they've seen. They had to special order them. They called me yesterday to tell me the tires were in and I went by after work to have them installed. They waited until after three tires were installed to tell me the fourth tire didn't make it. They had to install a different tire until today when the fourth tire showed up. Without me having to say anything they gave me the tires for $100 each which almost made the fourth tire free. Now that's customer service.

I just ordered a set of 265/70/17s for my wife's GX470. Older generation of the same truck. They will be installed this coming Thursday or Friday depending on when Discount gets them in. Will give you an update on what I think.

2016 Lexus GX 460 - 265/60R18. I ordered a set of 4 Falken AT3W's for $600 including certificates + $100 Hunter Road Force balancing including installation, nitro inflation, valves, recycle fees, CA communist fees etc + $100 alignment. Out-the-door $800. The tire shop is staffed with a bunch of kids. I doubt they know the proper inflation psi. My current tires are Bridgestone Dueler 840s which according to the sticker on the door should be inflated to 32 cold.
What psi on my Wildpeaks would you recommend for pavement and for gravel roads? I am not sure if I can do chalk thingy before I have to drive 500+ miles.

    Many thanks in advance.

Start with the recommended psi on your door card. Mines 30 psi and found that perfect

Has anyone installed these in 285/70R17 on a 3rd gen with a 2" lift? What about 275/70R17? How do they fit?

I'm looking into upgrading my wheels and tires. I like the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires but the wheels I am looking to get suggest that I have a tire size of 265/50R20 and I can only find the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's in 265/60R20... Can someone tell me if the increased aspect ratio would fit (and if there would be any negative side effects of using them) with my truck?

Not sure if this matters but the wheels I am thinking about getting are these: http://www.kmcwheels.com/wheel/17768/xd811-rs2 (20" x 9" 6x135.00/6X139.70).

    Thanks!

All the aspect ratio is going to do is increase your side wall height. So you are going to go from a 30.43" tall tire to 32.5" tall one.

Is your truck stock or lifted at all? And what backspacing are you planning to order?

Currently stock but have considered lifting it to 2 3/4" or so. The backspacing on the wheels looks to be 4.53" with a -12mm offset.

So never running that size tire and such, I can't say 100%, but you will probably have (while turning) rubbing on the front mud flaps and the front little mud flaps. Possibly rubbing on the front cab mounts as well. A 32.5" tall tire is typically run with a leveling kit or slight suspension lift. You can give it a shot to see if it fits and then adjust suspension and trim/remove plastic as required.

2016 Lexus GX 460 - 265/60R18 - I just had them installed with Road Force balancing, nitro and certs for $690 out the door (Did not need an alignment but appreciated free check). The kids in the tire shop inflated the tire to what was recommended on the door - 32 psi cold. The tires felt mushy and soft. I decided to do the chalk thingy so I asked the shop to inflate to 38psi. The ride became great. But it's raining here so the chalking has to wait.

Based on this table my tires (265/60R18) are XL 114T Max Load 2,601 lbs
    http://www.falkentire.com/tires/light-truck-suv-cuv-tires/wildpeak/t3w-tire

In any case, I found this Falken chart that lists recommended pressures:
    http://www.falkentire.com/tires/care-safety-warranty?qt-tire_care_safety=2#qt-tire_care_safety

I am having a hard time figuring out if my tires should be inflated to 36 psi or 42 psi if they are Extra Load tires.
May I ask the pros here to take a look and let me know, please?

    Infinite thanks in advance

6 PSI difference is not going to be that significant. Set it at whichever feels more stable but still checks out with a chalk test and motor on.

I got my Wildpeaks installed on my GX470, not the same truck, but very similar. They are set to 37 PSI currently. Planning to do a chalk test this weekend and will let you know if this changes.

The Lexus is 95% daily driver/mommy mobile, but used for the occasional trail so I went with the standard load in a 265/70/17 for comfort/mpg reasons. They look more aggressive in person than in photos, which I like. So far the tires track very well and don't follow groves or ruts in the road. I have not had them in any adverse weather conditions, but will update when I do. Prior to installing the Wildpeaks, the truck had a set of Michelin AT2s which were nearing the end of their life. The Wildpeaks do make noise compared to the previous set, nothing significant, but I did notice (something to be expected though). About on par with the KO2s. The truck doesn't have a mushy ride like before. Stability is about the same, though it is flatter through turns. So far I like the AT3Ws a lot. Great job Falken!

I'm a tire newb. Ordered a set of 5 of 265/75/16 but in P-rated off Amazon with prime shipping to Hawaii mainly cuz price was nice. Truck is my DD and sees mostly pavement with occasional off road usage. Really wanted to try these out but nowhere locally has them or can order them for me.

Comparing to my other options were duratracs c-rated and the ko2 e-rated. All same size. Not sure if I made the right decision mainly for the load rating. Any thoughts?

Well I just ran about 1200 miles back and forth from Irma. Can't be happier with the tires.

You made the right choice. The Wildpeak is significantly better than both of those overpriced turds.

I have had roughly 17 months on mine as a daily driver. Highway, city, dirt and gravel, snow and ice. I am sitting at 10/32nds all around. They have worn evenly, run quiet imo and still hook up as new. These have been the best all terrain tires of my past few sets(Toyo ATii and BFG atko)

    Mine are p285 70r17.
