I’ve been eyeing these for a while. They have options that no other camper company offer, like the modular side mounts for bikes, table, traction board, tools. The detachable tent opening awning is a nice touch too. I’m surprised other companies don’t offer this. The prices are inline with the competition.

I just wanted to share this brand if you haven’t come across it. Chime in here if you run one of these.

Looks like another erector set, DIY homebuilt camper.

There are some nice features, but I personally avoid these for the following:

Lots of bolts and parts up against each other increases the chances of water/dust intrusion as well as being heavier. The benefit is on the company side to more easily stock the extrusions, bolts and cut to length for each model.

I agree with you that our campers are 50 lbs heavier. We didn't go with a simple weld on aluminum sheet metal because it's a soft metal and can crack easily—it happens all the time with off-road trailers. Our campers are put together using 10.9-grade bolts and our machine-billet aluminum connectors. The camper is also waterproof. The big thing here with water intrusion on most campers is not the camper itself; it's the tailgate and the front gap of the Tacoma bed. All campers have their Pros and Cons. I guess Machine parts are now considered DIY?
I hope the following video links help you understand a little more about our camper. Thank you for your feedback Cheers!

Look, I get it. You know how to bend sheet metal after laser cutting patterns out. Then you powder coat it (probably sub’d out) and then it’s easy to hire low-skilled labor to ratchet down 500 bolts.

There are definitely people that like the EDC, raw style campers like this, and they will be your customers. This isn’t your original post @Packout_usa , so I don’t feel bad stating my real opinions.

when I load up my camper that doesn’t have exposed bolts everywhere and many overlapping gaps of sheet metal, my straps on backpacks don’t get caught up and snagged, nor am I worrying about if the proper thread depth was sunk into nylon locking nuts or the proper type and amount of thread locking compound was applied.

To each their own, which is why we are in a free market. I’ve been following wedge and parallel campers since before GFC and Vagabond were the first ones to bring a modern design with modern materials to the “topper” style truck campers. SuperPacific had several big issues when they launched. They jacked up their price without fixing the major ones. Then they raised the price again, just riding the demand of the market mostly fueled by the pandemic. While they ( and your product) have some good and useful features, the overall product is not fully dialed or finished in my mind.

Accepting feedback and continuous improvement will partially enable you to succeed in a now saturated market where the consumer has choice of dozens of wedge style campers at various price points.

I’ll check back in on you in a few years to see how things are going.

That is why we appreciate your feedback and comments. These are what make companies innovate and develop great products. There is no perfect camper out there everyone has their own preference. Thank you :)
