I ordered a new system from Crutchfield which showed up today. I kind of threw myself on their mercy to get me the stuff I need to make the install as easy as possible, including their harness service. One thing that showed up is this:

Upon reading the paperwork, it looks like the main job of this is to interface with steering wheel controls. My truck is totally manual and has no steering wheel controls. Anyone know if it serves any other purpose? I have a message in to Crutchfield too, but thought I'd get some opinions here too.

Says it retains the JBL too which you don’t have. But it doesn’t look like a harness for that. I would return it and get yourself a Metra 70-1761

Yeah, Crutchfield messed up on this a little (just by not understanding my application before shoving this into the mix). No biggie, they took it back and sent me a super simple harness in its place.
